I am frequently asked what do all the therapies I use do for people and how are they different. In this post I would like to talk about how they are similar. It is very simple: EMDR, hypnosis, TAT and Gentle Reprocessing all work on a min/body level. Although talk therapy is helpful it frequently does not allow clients to move what is stuck fully. Humans use our ability to think as a defense for what feels bad. It is very useful to help us function in the world but can slow the process of psychotherapy. These therapies allow movement of stuck information without completely destroying all defenses leaving the clint feeling stronger.
